Role Overview:

We seek a results-oriented, motivated Business Development ‘hunter’ laser-focused on building a sales pipeline. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for developing our pipeline through cold-calling prospects, educating the market about the power of OPLOG and generating opportunities with net new customers. You will have a proven track record of selling transformative enterprise software or technology solutions to C-level executives, preferably in the E-commerce and/or Logistics sector.

A demonstrable track record of business development and quota-carrying in e-commerce or logistics sales, and be able to conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social to connect with new prospects.

This role will allow you to gain exposure to all aspects of a marketing and sales cycle and the ability to have a hand in some of the hottest opportunities we work on in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


Roles & Responsibilities:

· Developing new sales opportunities using outbound cold emails, cold calls and lead follow-ups

· Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities

· Answering customers’ questions, resolving their concerns and providing additional information via calls and emails

· Explaining and demonstrating the functions and features of products and services

· Maintaining and improving the database of prospects

· Researching for new leads

· Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers

· Upselling products and services

· Highly numerate - this is a commercial role; you must be comfortable in a spreadsheet and a beautifully constructed P&L.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets from either an E-commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain or Software industry

· Minimum of 3-5 years of inside sales or business development experience

· Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level

· Proven ability to drive the sales development process from lead to opportunity

· Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services

· Proven ability to position products against competitors

· Demonstrable experience as a sales development representative, developing qualified pipeline

· Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Experience working with and using HubSpot or similar preferred
